Relive the best moments from the Maleny Agricultural Show 2026 — highlights, entertainment, competitors and community all in one incredible weekend.

A Weekend to Remember

June 2, 2026

The gates have closed, the ribbons have been awarded, and the last of the fireworks have faded into the Maleny sky — but the memories from the Maleny Agricultural Show 2026 will last a very long time.

Across two incredible days, thousands of show-goers filled the grounds to enjoy an extraordinary program of agricultural competition, live entertainment, hands-on activities, pavilion displays and so much more. Here is a look back at the best of what made this year's show one for the history books.

Grand Parade

There is nothing quite like the Grand Parade to set the tone for the Maleny Agricultural Show. On Friday afternoon, the Official Opening and Livestock Grand Parade brought the showgrounds to a standstill — featuring the 5th Light Horse Regiment Maleny Troop, show personalities, ambassadors and the community coming together in a moment of genuine pride. It was a reminder of what this show stands for and why it has been part of Maleny life since 1922.

Saturday's Grand Parade at 1:30pm carried that same energy — show personalities and ambassadors paraded before a packed crowd, celebrating the agricultural traditions and community spirit that make this event so special. Our Maleny Agricultural Show 2026 Showgirls and Rural Ambassadors represented our region with grace and pride across both days, and we couldn't be more proud of each of them.

Competitors

The competition across the 2026 Maleny Agricultural Show was outstanding from start to finish. Saturday's Main Arena delivered a full program of Show Horse Events, Rider Classes, Sporting Events, Miniature Horses and Harness events, culminating in the prestigious Supreme Horse Under Saddle — a true credit to every rider and handler who came to Maleny.

The Woodchop Arena was one of the most anticipated venues of the show, with Friday's Chainsaw Races and Saturday's full Woodchop Competitions and State Final delivering strength, skill and speed. Our female woodchoppers were absolutely fabulous competing in their Maleny Hotel singlets before a huge, vocal crowd — a massive thank you to Maleny Hotel for their sponsorship.

The Beef Pavilion was electric across both days, from Junior Handlers and the fan-favourite Fancy Dress Cattle Competition on Friday, through to the Stud Beef Cattle Competition on Saturday. The Poultry Shed, supported by Kewpie Stockfeeds, kept growing with another fantastic year of entries — and the Guess the Weight of the Rooster was a highlight for all ages.

The Dairy Pavilion ran a full two-day program, and at approximately 4:00pm Saturday, the show's most beloved moment arrived — the Famous Dog Jump Competition, sponsored by Williams Family Homes, which had the crowd cheering every single entry.

Congratulations to every competitor. Your passion and dedication is what makes this show extraordinary.

Exhibitors

The Main Pavilion was a showcase of incredible talent and effort across both days of the show. From the Upper Level General Pavilion Displays to the Farm Produce and School Displays on the Lower Level, every exhibit told a story of skill, creativity and community pride.

Our Cake Decorating, Handicraft, Quilting and creative arts entries were stunning — the level of detail and craftsmanship on display never fails to impress. The Lego entries brought out the inner child in everyone who walked past, and the Farm Produce section was a wonderful celebration of what our hinterland region grows and produces so well.

The MACG Building — Maleny Arts and Crafts Display and Sales — was a wonderful space that drew steady crowds across both days, celebrating local artistic talent and giving visitors the chance to take a piece of Maleny home with them.

To every exhibitor who entered — well done. Your entries are the heart of this show, and we thank you for the effort and care you put into every single one. The full Pavilionresults are available now at Showday.online — head there to see how you placed.

Country Stars Australia

Country Stars Australia was one of the standout highlights of the Maleny Agricultural Show 2026, and this year the talent on the Entertainment Oval was nothing short of exceptional.

Friday's Semi Finals set the stage — rising country music performers delivered powerful sets that had crowds gathering from all corners of the showgrounds. The energy was building, and by Grand Final Day on Saturday it was electric. A full day of live country music, emotion and extraordinary performances had the Entertainment Oval packed from morning to close.

Congratulations to our 2026 winners — Cooper Lane, Country Stars Winner; Chris Cobb, Runner Up; and Maddie Cail, recipient of the Matt Perin Development Award. Every single artist who performed this weekend gave everything they had, and we are so proud to have provided a stage for the next generation of Australian country music talent. We thank Country Stars Australia for their ongoing partnership with the Maleny Agricultural Show.

Trade Vendors

The trade vendor precinct was one of the most vibrant parts of the showgrounds across both days, with a brilliant and diverse range of local, regional and national businesses bringing their products, services and passion to Maleny.

From the Exhibition Hall and Grounds Trade Displays to the food and drink stalls and the bustling Sideshow Alley, there was something to discover at every turn. The Cattleman's Bar was a popular gathering spot throughout both days, and the energy across the vendor precinct from gates open to close was fantastic.

The Shop Window Dressing Competition extended the show spirit right into the heart of Maleny town. Congratulations to Gone Bonkers Discounts — first place, Maleny Jewellers — second place, and Rosetta Books — third place. Thank you to every business that got involved and made our town part of the celebration.

To every trade vendor, stallholder and food and drink operator who set up at the Maleny Agricultural Show 2026 — thank you. Your presence brings energy, variety and community spirit to the grounds, and we are grateful for your participation year after year.

A Special Moment

Every show has its special stories, and 2026 had a particularly beautiful one. Our bride and groom from last year's show returned to celebrate their first wedding anniversary at the Maleny Agricultural Show. Congratulations Matt and Meg — that is exactly the kind of story that reminds us why this show matters so much to so many people.

Photography & Videography

All photos and videos from the Maleny Agricultural Show 2026 were captured by the incredibly talented Márshã Fôtògrâfïë. Head to our Facebook page to browse the full albums from across the weekend — Márshã has an extraordinary eye for capturing the heart and soul of this event, and we are deeply grateful for their contribution to the show each and every year.
