Held on Saturday 9 May at the Maleny Show Pavilion, the evening created a festive atmosphere filled with laughter, local flavours, friendly competition, and genuine community camaraderie ahead of the upcoming Maleny Agricultural Show on 29–30 May.

Guests enjoyed locally produced food through tastings and nibbles, while teams competed in a fast-paced trivia competition with a strong agriculture and Maleny Show focus.

A highlight of the evening was the Showgirl and Rural Ambassador interview segment, where participants engaged directly with local food producers as part of the judging process. The activity showcased their confidence, communication skills, and ability to connect with people across the room in a relaxed and engaging environment.

Trailblazers Maleny participants also took part as a trivia team, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and the strength of the next generation of agricultural leadership within the region.

More than just an enjoyable evening, the event celebrated the people behind local food production, encouraged the development of young leaders, and reinforced pride in the Hinterland’s agricultural heritage and future.

The countdown is officially on for the Maleny Agricultural Show 2026.
